It has been our dream to create a space where like-minded people can come and share the benefits of yoga, healthy lifestyle practices, and complementary healing modalities. We hope to create a positive environment that you enjoy visiting for an escape from the demands and stresses of everyday life.
I have been teaching in the health and fitness industry for over 27 years, including periods of teaching overseas as an aerobic instructor. My love for health and fitness led me to discover yoga and I have been practicing and studying it’s ancient teachings for the past 12 years.
I completed the Holistic Yoga Teacher Training Course in 2005 at Greenwood Yoga Academy and am a member of Yoga-Alliance Australia, Gold Designation, and also a member of Yoga Australia.
My teaching style integrates Hatha Vinyasa, Pranayama, meditation and traditional philosophies of yoga, and I am also pregnancy yoga certified.
I am currently a member of the Board of Directors of Yoga Alliance Australia and a Lecturer/Facilitator for the Yoga Alliance Academy Teacher Training Courses.
After graduating from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Science degree I continued to expand my passion for movement, anatomy and human physiology by obtaining my Diploma of Remedial Massage,Certificate IV in Fitness, and Certificate IV in OH&S. I am a registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance Australia and am also a member of the Board of Directors. I have been working within the health and fitness industry since 1999 specialising in Occupational Health and injury rehabilitation.
Recognizing that everyone’s movement is affected by muscular imbalance I have developed a Myofascial Alignment Technique to treat postural and bio-mechanical imbalances in order to resolve the causes, and not just treat the symptoms, of soft tissue injuries.
I have Tutored at Edith Cowan University in Principles of Exercise Programming and Sports Massage, and have over 15 years experience working in Remedial Therapy, Health and Fitness.
I am very passionate about teaching people that they can heal their own body and remove long term pain and injuries through remedial treatment and personalised Remedial Movement Training
Over the years, I have used yoga to help with the ups and downs of daily life. I am a Yoga Australia registered Yoga Teacher who has been practicing yoga for 20+ years.
I teach a style of yoga that is a blend of restorative and yin yoga, combined with a slow flow. The flowing poses are synchronised with the breath and combined with moments of stillness, where the yoga practitioner is encouraged to connect inward to ground and centre themselves, turning the class into a moving meditation.
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child enjoying their surroundings whilst playing and learning, seeing them developing a sense of identity and helping them to create a connection to themselves and others. Discovering a new and exciting journey through the practice of yoga.
I am a certified Children’s Yoga teacher and I teach a unique Children's Yoga Program called Little Yoga Charms where the children co-create the class using their imagination. Together we are creating a space where we can be happy and have fun!
My aim is to lay foundations for their future by giving them the opportunity to experience the freedom and peace of mind that yoga brings to their life when practiced regularly.
